Champion. Finals MVP.

Cova has the strongest accomplishment résumé of any PG.

He only had four regular-season PG games, which initially kept him out because of the five-game qualification rule. But once the playoffs happened, the sample issue became much less important because he added several high-stakes games and became the PG of the championship team.

The most ridiculous part of his postseason is the ball security. In the five playoff box scores you gave me, he had 43 assists and only 3 turnovers. That is absurd.

Then the Finals happened.

In the two wins:

- 33 points, 10 assists, 1 turnover
- 51 points, 4 assists, 1 turnover

That is why he won Finals MVP. He was not just “the PG on the champion.” He was the guy deciding the championship.

Why he cannot be lower: A 4-0 regular season, a championship, Finals MVP, 27/9 playoff production, and almost zero turnovers is too complete a résumé.

Regular season: 24.1 PPG, 12.7 APG, 3.6 A/TO, 74% FG, 61% 3PT. Official record was 2-5

Playoffs: 30.5 PPG, 12.7 APG, 4.75 A/TO, 80.5% FG, 75% 3PT across six games actually played.

What puts Brumps #2 is not just the raw playoff numbers. It is where those numbers came from. The biggest knock on him all regular season was team success. The individual production was already elite, but people could say, “okay, you’re putting up 24 and almost 13 assists, but you’re losing.”

Then the playoffs came and that criticism got answered directly.

He swept the #1 seed and #1 defense, which is the best single opponent context any PG on this list faced and beat. In that series he averaged 31.5 points and 13 assists while shooting 86.7% from the field and 87.5% from three. That is not just good offense. That is basically complete offensive control against the league’s best defense.

Even in Round 3, the series loss is weird contextually because Game 1 was a team forfeit. In the two games actually played, he put up 32/10 and 35/14

Why he is above Kari: Kari scored more in the playoffs, but Brumps had significantly more playmaking while being even more efficient. The #1-defense sweep separates them.

Regular season: 5-6, 27.3 PPG, 9.8 APG, 5.4 A/TO, 66% FG, 57% 3PT.

Six supplied playoff games: 34.0 PPG, 9.0 APG, 5.4 A/TO, 71.6% FG, 69.2% 3PT.

Kari might have the strongest argument for best pure scorer at PG over the entire season.

The regular season was already individually elite. The issue was always that 5-6 record. He had the numbers, but the winning did not match.

Then he entered the postseason as the #11 seed and started torching people.

Round 1:

Round 2, in the two games supplied:

- 30/10
- 36/11

Elite 8 against #3 Paladins:

- 31/11
- 26/7

He basically never had a bad scoring game in the playoffs

Why he is above KJM: KJM had the stronger regular season from a winning/efficiency standpoint, but Kari’s playoff run was dramatically better. KJM got bounced early by #12. Kari went on a deep underdog run and averaged 34.

Why he is below Cova: Cova finished the job and won Finals MVP. Kari did not.

Why he is below Brumps: Brumps had much more PG control through assist volume and the better opponent-quality signature series.

Why he cannot be lower than #3: Nobody below him has a playoff résumé even close to this.

Regular season: 5-1, 24.3 PPG, 9.0 APG, 4.5 A/TO, 76% FG, 73% 3PT.

KJM was probably the best regular-season PG if you only looked at efficient winning basketball.

His schedule was respectable, his shooting was absurd, and the assist-to-turnover ratio was excellent.

Against the #3 defense he had:

- 14/12 on 6/6
- 31/9 with 1 turnover on 11/13

That is elite.

Then came the playoff loss to #12.

The two supplied playoff games:

- 32/7, 0 turnovers
- 6/10, 0 turnovers on 2/12

The second game is the killer. The zero turnovers are nice, but six points on that efficiency in an upset series is a serious blemish.

Why he is above Riot: KJM’s regular-season peak was clearly better. Better efficiency, better record, stronger signature games.

Why he is below Kari: Kari’s postseason changed the entire season evaluation. KJM’s postseason hurt his.

Why he stays this high: One bad series should not erase a 5-1 regular season where he shot 76/73.

Regular season: 22.6 PPG, 9.1 APG, 3.9 A/TO, 48% FG, 46% 3PT, #4 seed.

Riot’s regular season was weird because the efficiency was dragged down by a game, where he went 5/27. That one game heavily distorted the shooting percentages.

The stronger indicator was how he performed in real tests.

When his elite SG was unavailable, against the #6 defense, he put up:

- 31/11 with 0 turnovers
- 31/10 with 3 turnovers

That was important because it proved he could drive winning offense without being carried by the league’s top SG.

Then in the playoffs he averaged 28.5/9 in a 2-0 Round 1 win, including 35/12 with one turnover.

Why he is above Bleus: Riot actually strengthened his résumé in the postseason. Bleus did the opposite.

Why he is below KJM: KJM’s regular season was just cleaner and more dominant.

Why he is not top 3: The postseason sample is only two games because he became unavailable. His team then continued winning without him, which limits how much of Prolific’s overall run we can credit to him.

Regular season: 9-7, 26.1 PPG, 9.1 APG, 3.3 A/TO, 1.6 SPG.

Bleus has the best large-sample regular-season case among the top group.

Sixteen games matters. It is much harder to sustain 26 and 9 over that amount of games than it is to go nuclear for five.

His SOS was also real. He faced top defenses repeatedly.

The issue is the postseason.

Round 1:

- 7/4, 3 turnovers, 1/8
- 31/7, 2 turnovers, 10/17

So he did bounce back individually in Game 2, but the team still got swept.

Why he is above Hoodie: Better balance of scoring and playmaking over a much bigger sample, with more team success.

Why he is below Riot: Riot was stronger in the playoffs and had the better final trajectory.

Why he is not higher: The first-round sweep puts a hard ceiling on him relative to the players above who either won or at least performed better in the postseason.

Regular season: 32.2 PPG, 7.6 APG, 1.7 A/TO, 70% FG, 62% 3PT.

Playoffs: 33.0 PPG, 7.5 APG, 3.0 A/TO, 60.5% FG, 59.1% 3PT.

If this were just a scoring ranking, Hoodie would be higher.

He was one of the league’s most explosive PG scorers and basically maintained that exact production in the playoffs.

His Round 1:

- 39/13
- 27/2 before the team quit mid-third

So despite being swept, he personally did not disappear.

Why he is above TBuc: His individual offensive production was on a completely different level.

Why he is below Bleus: Less winning, smaller sample, and worse overall floor-general profile.

What caps him: The 1.7 regular-season ratio matters. For a PG, 32 points is incredible, but if the playmaking and turnover control lag behind the elite guys, that keeps you out of the top six.

TBuc is the biggest postseason résumé riser in the middle tier.

His regular season had him much lower because the sample and overall dominance did not compare to the top guys.

Then he had a real playoff run.

Round 1:

- 21/9 in the counted game

Round 2 vs #7:

- 19/10
- 33/12

Final Four vs #3:

- 23/10 with 1 turnover
- 16/9

Championship losses:

- 18/7 with 6 turnovers
- 17/8 with 5 turnovers

Across the seven supplied games:

Why he is above Peresident/Drip/Tris: He actually built a multi-round postseason résumé and played well against quality teams.

Why he is below Hoodie: Hoodie was much more dominant individually across the entire season.

Why he is not higher: His championship performance was weaker, especially the turnovers. Also, the Paladins advancement came from disqualification, so that cannot be treated like a normal on-court series win.

Verified regular season: 3 GP, 3-0, 23.3 PPG, 7.3 APG, 0.7 RPG, 0.0 SPG, 0.0 BPG, 3.14 A/TO, 54.5% FG, 57.6% 3PT

Verified playoffs: 3 GP, 2-1, 29.7 PPG, 8.0 APG, 0.3 RPG, 0.7 SPG, 0.7 BPG, 3.00 A/TO, 59.3% FG, 55.8% 3PT. Only completed, supplied box scores are included; missing or shortened games were not estimated.

For a point guard, the evaluation balances scoring with creation, decision-making and control of possessions. The regular-season résumé ranked 10th of 24 in three-point percentage and 12th in scoring; the lowest standing among the tracked core categories was 20th in assists. The winning record strengthens the case because the production translated into results.

Regular-season baseline:

7-5, 24.8 PPG, 5.5 APG, 60% FG, 68% 3PT, 1.6 A/TO.

President’s case is mostly about winning scoring efficiency.

He did not have the assist production of the more traditional point guards, but he was a legitimate offensive threat and had a solid winning record over a decent sample.

Why he is above Drip: More stable overall season and better team success.

Why he is below TBuc: TBuc added a deep playoff résumé. President did not participate.

Why he is not higher: 5.5 assists and a 1.6 ratio is not elite PG control.

Earlier baseline:

4-2, 26.2 PPG, 7.8 APG, 2.8 A/TO, 66% FG, 66% 3PT.

At his peak, Drip looked like a top-seven PG.

Then the late-season stretch dragged him down:

- 15/3 with 5 turnovers
- 31/2
- 23/6 in another loss

The scoring remained decent, but the PG creation started disappearing.

He also did not play PG in the postseason, so there was no chance to repair that résumé.

Why he is above Tris: Higher offensive ceiling and significantly more scoring pressure.

Why he is below President: Worse late-season trajectory and less stable winning.

Regular season: 5-0, 18.8 PPG, 8.0 APG, 4.0 A/TO, 54% FG, 59% 3PT.

Playoffs: 16.0 PPG, 8.0 APG, 8.0 A/TO, 48% FG, 38.9% 3PT in a sweep loss to #16.

Tris is a really interesting player to rank because he did a lot of “winning PG” things correctly.

He took care of the ball. He distributed. He was undefeated in the regular season.

Even in the playoffs:

- 16/9 with 0 turnovers
- 16/7 with 2 turnovers

That is not a personal meltdown.

Why he is above MVPGOTNEXT: Better regular-season team success and much better ball security.

Why he is below Drip: Lower individual offensive ceiling.

Why he is not higher: Getting swept by #16 is a major résumé hit, even if his own box score was respectable.

Regular season: 1-5, 23.7 PPG, 10.2 APG, 3.8 A/TO, 55% FG, 50% 3PT.

Playoffs: 24.8 PPG, 7.3 APG, 2.64 A/TO, 68.4% FG, 60.7% 3PT.

What I like about MVPGOTNEXT is that the postseason answered the question of whether the regular-season numbers were just empty stats.

Against #3 Paladins, he averaged:

23.5 points and 11 assists.

That is real production against a strong opponent.

Why he is above KidBuu: Better playoff evidence against a better team.

Why he is below Tris: The 1-5 regular-season record is still too damaging.

Regular season: 2-4, 24.7 PPG, 9.0 APG, 3.9 A/TO, 61% FG, 59% 3PT.

Those numbers are genuinely strong.

The postseason is what holds him down.

His team won Round 1 easily without him. Then when he returned against #5:

- 23/12 with 6 turnovers
- 12/5 with 3 turnovers

Why he is above Founded: More balanced full-season production and better regular-season efficiency.

Why he is below MVPGOTNEXT: MVPGOTNEXT gave stronger evidence against elite playoff competition.

What hurts him most: The playoff series did not give us anything new to elevate him.

Founded is one of the hardest players to summarize because his regular-season identity was built around elite creation.

Early baseline:

25.7 PPG, 14.7 APG, 67% FG, 45% 3PT.

Those assist numbers were inflated somewhat by overtime games and soft defenses, but he later had solid creation against stronger teams too, proving it was not entirely fake.

Then the playoffs flipped the profile:

29.0 PPG, 4.5 APG, 3.5 turnovers, 80% FG, 77.8% 3PT.

He became a hyper-efficient scorer, but stopped creating like the point guard we had been ranking.

Why he is above BostonFan: Much higher offensive ceiling and stronger scoring threat.

Why he is below KidBuu: Worse team results and the playoff playmaking collapse.

Regular season: 3-5, 20.8 PPG, 6.8 APG, 2.35 A/TO, 59.4% FG, 50.8% 3PT.

Playoffs vs #21: 19.5 PPG, 7.5 APG, 5.5 turnovers.

Game 1 was actually pretty good:

28/7 on 8/11.

Game 2:

11/8 with 6 turnovers.

The biggest issue is the opponent. Getting swept by the #21 seed makes this worse than a normal first-round loss.

Why he is above Peaks: Better overall season and less extreme playoff collapse.

Regular season: 3-3, 17.7 PPG, 8.0 APG, 9.6 A/TO, 48% FG, 48% 3PT.

BostonFan is basically the opposite of Hoodie.

Not overwhelming as a scorer, but absurdly safe with the ball.

A 9.6 assist-to-turnover ratio is the best pure ball-security profile in this area of the rankings.

Why he is above NiteBlock: Nite’s playoff collapse is enough to push Boston ahead despite Nite having the stronger scoring efficiency.

Why he is below Founded: He lacks the offensive takeover ability.

Why he cannot climb much higher: 17.7 PPG on 48/48 is simply not enough offensive pressure compared with the top half.

Regular season: 4-2, 19.7 PPG, 9.2 APG, 2.5 A/TO, 71% FG, 67% 3PT.

That regular season was very good.

The concern was always the easier schedule.

Then his playoff test came against #7 and he averaged:

5.0 PPG, 8.5 APG, 33.3% FG.

Game 2:

0 points, 4 assists, 3 turnovers.

That is why he falls this far.

Why he is still above JustACasual and Peaks: Two playoff games cannot completely erase a 4-2 regular season with elite efficiency.

Why he is below BostonFan: Boston did not provide negative playoff evidence, while Nite did.

Verified regular season: 7 GP, 3-4, 22.3 PPG, 8.1 APG, 0.4 RPG, 0.3 SPG, 0.0 BPG, 2.85 A/TO, 51.5% FG, 51.3% 3PT

For a point guard, the evaluation balances scoring with creation, decision-making and control of possessions. The regular-season résumé ranked 15th of 24 in scoring and 15th in assist-to-turnover ratio; the lowest standing among the tracked core categories was 21st in field-goal percentage. The losing record is an important cap: the individual production had to be strong enough to overcome limited team results.

Regular season: 4-3 officially, 16.3 PPG, 11.6 APG, 4.5 A/TO, 54.8% FG, 41.9% 3PT.

On paper, this looks like a better ranking than #19.

The reason he falls is the wiped quit-game context.

There were multiple games where the team was getting crushed and quit before the stats officially counted. We already agreed that those games still matter when evaluating performance, even if the website erased them.

Why he is above LuvsMuds: Better winning percentage, higher assist volume, better ratio.

Why he is not higher: The official stat line is cleaner than the actual game-to-game season was.

Correct PG-only line:

3-9, 17.7 PPG, 9.8 APG, 3.37 A/TO, 54.1% FG, 57.1% 3PT.

Luvs actually has respectable individual PG numbers.

Why he is above Clorox: Much better scoring and perimeter efficiency.

Why he is below Jelly: The 3-9 record across a large PG sample is extremely hard to overcome.

Regular season: around 1-7, 15.8 PPG, 8.9 APG, 2.0 A/TO, 61% FG, 48% 3PT.

Playoffs: 20.0 PPG, 5.5 APG, 1.57 A/TO, 63.6% FG, 53.8% 3PT.

The shooting actually was not bad. He could score efficiently.

The issue is the total PG impact.

The regular-season record was poor, assist production was below most other PGs, and then the playoff sweep came with creation dropping to only 5.5 assists.

Regular season: 1-4, 10.2 PPG, 10.6 APG, 2.3 A/TO, 55% FG, 31% 3PT.

He is here almost entirely because of his passing.

Double-digit assists is legitimate, but the offensive scoring pressure was extremely limited.

Why he is above VenomDimez: Better shooting efficiency and at least one win.

Why he is not higher: 10 points per game and 31% from three is too limited for a primary ball handler.

Regular season: 0-5, 15.4 PPG, 11.6 APG, 2.5 A/TO, 44% FG, 34% 3PT.

VenomDimez could pass. That is obvious from the 11.6 assists.

But there was no winning, the efficiency was poor, and there was no playoff sample to repair anything.

Why he is above Venom TTV: Higher assist volume and slightly better PG creation.

Why he is below Clorox: Worse efficiency and winless record.
