Baldy was a key piece of Five Star's undefeated regular season, using his unique 6'9" build, mobility, and athleticism to thrive in a 5-out system. He scored efficiently, defended multiple actions, and played an important role on one of the league's best teams. His versatility made him much more than a traditional center and was a major reason Five Star reached the Finals.
His playoff run had plenty of positives, but the Finals ultimately lowered his ranking. Opponents began sagging off him on the perimeter, exposing a spacing weakness that affected Five Star's offense early in the series. While he bounced back and shot the ball better in Games 2 and 3, the Finals showed an area of his game that elite teams were able to exploit.
Why #7: Baldy was one of the league's best centers throughout the regular season, but these rankings reflect the full season. His Finals struggles opened the door for several centers with stronger overall offensive résumés or more impactful postseason performances to finish ahead of him.
