Lippys played on one of the league's toughest teams to evaluate. His offensive production improved as the season went on, finishing with solid overall numbers while serving as a floor-spacing backend with a high three-point rating. He also played well in the playoffs, averaging 12.5 points on 73% shooting as Saint John's pushed the No. 6 seed in two competitive first-round games. Despite those flashes, his team struggled throughout the season, finishing near the bottom of the standings with the league's worst points-against defense.
Why He's Ranked #14
Lippys showed he could score efficiently and finished the season on a positive note, but the complete body of work wasn't enough to move him higher. His team's struggles on both ends of the floor, combined with limited defensive impact from the backend position, kept him at the bottom of a deep backend group.
Why Not Higher
The players ahead of him either contributed more consistently throughout the regular season, had stronger defensive impact, or played larger roles on more successful teams. While Lippys ended the year well, his overall résumé wasn't as strong as the players above him.

There wasn't another qualified backend with a stronger case below him. His offensive growth over the second half of the season and efficient playoff performance showed he belonged in the rankings, even if his overall season placed him in the final spot.
