Baja’s seven complete-game sample is smaller, but the production is extraordinary: nearly 15 rebounds and eight assists in the regular season on 81% shooting, followed by 13 points on 83% in the completed playoff games. He recorded two regular-season triple-doubles and helped The Order advance through the early rounds.
His playoff rebounding and assists declined, and The Order’s regular-season defense was only 12th. NateSellin later took over at center for the semifinal and decisive Finals wins, so Baja does not receive credit for those games at this position.
Why not No. 1: Sit has the better playoff performance and uninterrupted center résumé. Why not lower: Baja’s production, efficiency and winning are too dominant for anyone else to pass him.
The regular-season résumé ranked 2nd of 19 in rebounding and 2nd in field-goal percentage; the lowest standing among the tracked core categories was 11th in blocks. The winning record strengthens the case because the production translated into results.
