Team context: Bottom five opponent PPG; Round 2 exit
Ian was the best high-volume scorer in the eligible field: 18.3 points across 11 games on excellent shooting, plus 18 more in his completed playoff PF appearance. He also generated more than two steals per game.
The backend weaknesses are substantial. Witness finished bottom five in opponent PPG, Ian averaged only 2.6 rebounds and almost no blocks, and his PF record was 2-9 before the playoff loss. That is difficult to reconcile with a position receiving 45% of its grade from defense.
Why not higher: The team defense, rebounding, rim protection and winning were all weak.
Why not lower: His sustained offensive production is too valuable to rank beneath low-impact offensive backends.
